Laura started her dance training at the age of 3, training in ballet, modern and jazz. She was a member of the Co-op Juniors for ten years, before joining Ipswich Operatic and Dramatic Society. At 10 she won a place on the Suffolk County Council Ballet Scholarship Scheme, which provided her with excellent ballet tuition until she was 16.
Laura won a coveted place at the Bird College of Performing Arts in Kent, where she trained for three years in all styles of dance, stage craft and musical theatre. She graduated with a National Diploma in Dance and Musical Theatre, having performed at the Royal Opera House and other West End theatres.
After graduating she danced on cruise ships, Disneyland Paris and theatre productions in Europe before pursuing her passion of teaching dance. She performed in New Delhi, India on New Years Eve 2006 and 2007 and she has also worked for Disney special events on various occasions including the High School Musical 2 bus tour 2007.
Laura has taught dance in a part time capacity for many years, and has now achieved her objective of teaching full time. Laura is also a YMCA level 2 qualified aerobics instructor. She has also taught after school dance classes and workshops at Kesgrave High school, Deben High school, St. Matthew’s, St. Helen’s, St johns, St Mary’s, Clifford Road, Rose Hill and St. Margaret’s primary schools and Old Buckenham Hall school as well as teaching for Stagecoach, Felixstowe.
